Prayer & Praise Monday – February 11, 2013

Happy Monday Everyone!

I’m still on a Choose Joy high after a wonderfully blessed weekend! God was very present at the special event aimed at encouraging those who are experiencing the pain and struggle of infertility and/or adoption. (www.choosejoyevent.com) We’ll share more and post photos for Throne of Grace Thursday next week. But for now, one of the verses that was highlighted on Saturday is Psalm 126:5. May it bless your hearts today in whatever trial you may be going through…

“Those who sow in tears will reap with songs of joy.”
(Psalm 126:5 NIV)

Thank you for joining with us as we lift up the following prayers and praises to the Lord this week:

• Praise God for an incredible opportunity to share His Word and put needed resources into the hands of those struggling through the pain of infertility at Choose Joy. We had great conversations and had our own hearts encouraged as well! Praise God for the many, many hands that came together to serve and make the whole event come together so beautifully!

• Please continue to remember in prayer those whose homes, businesses, and lives were devastated by Hurricane Sandy, especially as they have now experienced a huge blizzard and below-freezing temperatures. Our friend Bonnie Jean sent us an update:

There are so many homes still without power, people in partial homes with no heat, people in local hotels and shelters. All of the apartments in the area are filled to capacity for the most part. Even a day without power in freezing temperatures can be deadly. And there are not enough shelters to hold everyone or enough generators available.

Please continue to pray that God will meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of those on the east coast. Pray that God would perfectly time the arrival of Blessing Bags to this area and give Bonnie Jean the resources she needs to help us distribute them.

Thank you, dear prayer warriors, for your faithful prayers! We’ll be back for Throne of Grace Thursday with a special Valentine message from a guest poster. Have a great week!
