Prayer & Praise Monday – August 27, 2012

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
And lean not on your own understanding;
In all your ways acknowledge Him,
And He shall direct your paths.”

(Proverbs 3:5-6, NKJV)

Happy Monday Prayer Warriors! Please join us at the throne of grace this week as we pray:

* Choose one unsaved friend or family member today and pray that the eyes of his or her heart may be enlightened to know the hope found only in Jesus. (Ephesians 1:18-19a)

* Pray for your pastor that his love for Christ will be used by God to save the lost, mature the believers, and build up the Church. (Psalm 96:2-4)

* Praise the Lord for one brother or sister in Christ who has planted seeds in your heart and spurred you on toward love and good deeds in your faith.  (Hebrews 10:23-24) Take 5 minutes this week to send a quick note via email or snail mail to thank him or her for their encouragement in your life.

As always, we want to hear from you! Leave us a comment to let us know you will be joining us in prayer this week and be sure to let us know how we can pray for YOU! Submit prayer requests or praises by NOON (PST) this Friday to be included in next Monday’s post.

Come back tomorrow for a special Throne of Grace announcement including a GIVEAWAY…and…be sure to join us for Throne of Grace Thursday when we’ll have a special guest blogger. You won’t want to miss it! 🙂

    Hi Molly! God works in miraculous ways, even if they’re small ways. Just this morning, I was thinking of the phrase, “lean not on your own understanding” and I was dwelling on that all day. Low and behold, you posted Proverbs 3:5 today. That was such an encouragement to me today, and now (thanks to your blog post) I see God working in little ways to show me He is with me. Thank you!

    • Wow, Beth! Thanks so much for taking the time to share that because now you’ve returned the blessing! IF you can believe it I was just thinking an hour or so ago about how God continually seeks after us, whether we are conscious of it or not, and He is constantly pulling us back in as our Shepherd when we begin to wander. I actually asked myself the question, “How have I seen God seeking me today?” Bingo! Your comment was the reminder I needed that He is prodding me along, keeping me in His will. So glad He was able to use us both today! 🙂
